Silver State Lampworking is an Art studio nestled in the heart of Boulder City, founded by artist and instructor Shane Apsey. Shane is a dedicated glass artist and passionate teacher who has spent years refining his skills while sharing his love for the craft with others. His work is rooted in patience, creativity, and a deep respect for traditional and contemporary lampworking techniques. Above all, Shane believes that art should be accessible, encouraging, and enjoyable, and he strives to create an environment where students feel comfortable exploring their creativity.

Established in 2022, Silver State Lampworking began as a dream to build something meaningful through art and education. That dream became a reality in July of 2025 when Shane opened his own glass studio, allowing him to fully focus on teaching—one of his lifelong passions. The studio now serves as a welcoming space for beginners and experienced artists alike, offering hands-on classes, demonstrations, and creative experiences that foster confidence, connection, and a genuine appreciation for the art of glass.
